Kindred Group has received a new setback in his long -term dispute with The Lottery and Foundation Authority After the American Supreme Court's appeal committee refused to hear the legal challenge.

The judges who considered the case felt that there was no "sufficient reason" for the Supreme Court to hold a complete treatment in the dispute, which would have undergone previous rulings of the Oslo Court of Appeal and the Oslo Court.

The Committee cited the assumption in the Dispute Act, which states that the appeal can only be appealed in cases "if the significance extends beyond the extent of the case" or if it is important for other reasons determined by the Supreme Court.

The committee's officials also consider the original requirement, the reason for the appeal, including considering which mistakes may have been made in the first application of American law and the factual basis for the ruling.

The Appeals Committee rejected the case processing

The dispute between Kindred and the Lottery and Foundation Authority extends back in April 2019. The case is on the fact that the subsidiary called the trannel received a market excellence order to leave the American market.

The Lottery and Foundation Authority said games offered on the website Unibet, Maria Casino, Big player and bingo.com were aimed at American players by offering deposits and prizes in American currency, together with customer service in American.

The Lottery and Foundation Authority said, after an opinion, that it was "obvious" that Unibet, Maria Casino, big player and bingo.com "was clearly directed at the American market" and therefore contrary to American law.

Kindred Group challenged and said that the right to offer gambling in USA was guaranteed in accordance with the EEA legislation, and that the Lottery and Foundation Authority could not prevent it because of the license through Malta Gaming Authority.

Previous Anchor rejected in 2020 - rejected by the Supreme Court in 2021

This appeal was later rejected by the Lottery Authority (Lotterin Committee), which judges complaints and operates under the American Ministry of Culture in March 2020.

Former anchor in the Oslo City Court and then a third challenge in the Court of Appeal in Oslo struck in March 2021, with Kindred who raised the case the American legal chain to the Supreme Court, was rejected in this last decision.

Kindred Group USA Public Affairs Manager Rolf Sims had the following to say after the ruling was clear: “We are disappointed that the Supreme Court has chosen not to deal with the tranell's appeal in the case, as it raises many main issues regarding the American Lottery Authority with national law outside American territory. "

"However, we would like to emphasize that despite the authority's efforts, we have not experienced a shift in American players' desire to seek entertainment by playing online outside USA, but within the EU, to access more varied gaming offers and better odds," let He to.
