Scientific Games has completed the acquisition of the game development studio ELK studios in an agreement where the purchase amount is not stated. (December 1, 2021).
The Las Vegas-based game developer has added the Swedish company in a growing content-creating ecosystem following the acquisitions of both Lightning Box and Live Casino solutions from Authentic Gaming in recent months.
Will strengthen its position with European content in the United States and Canada
Scientific Games will absorb the Stockholm-based developer and will look to launch ELK studios Its content throughout the United States and Canada, while further consolidating their position in the European market.
Scientific Games confirmed that Elk Studios will continue to operate independently to develop new content, while also taking advantage of Scientific Games' extensive market range, commercial scale and North American expertise

Last month, Scientific Games had an increase of 25% from last year calculated with the third quarter 2021 revenues, part of the reason is the decision to sell the lottery and sports betting business. With the acquisition of Elk Studios, there will be even more focus on quality games within the casino.
