The most popular baccarat variants
We start this guide by listing the most common baccarat games and telling them a little.

1. Railway
Chemin de fer means "railway" in French, and exactly why the game got that name is more than we know unfortunately! This game has the same basis as classic baccarat, but some things are different.
In our baccarat rules, we tell you that you have to pay a small fee to the casino (usually 5%) if you win.
The player who acts as the casino to begin with starts the round by telling what he or she is willing to risk in the next round. Then the other players get to decide their bets.
If any of the players during this process say "banco", it means that this matches the casino's amount, and then the remaining players are not allowed to bet.
Another thing that is specific to Chemin de Fer is that if the sum of the first two cards is 5, you must choose whether to stand or draw another card.
In regular baccarat, do not choose this! And in this way you can say that the Chemin de Fer is a more strategic variant of the game.
2. Bank point
"Punto" means points and "banco" means bank.
This is the most common variant of baccarat in American casinos and the biggest difference between classic baccarat and punto banco is mainly about the preparation before the game begins.
And it is, for example, that a yellow card is placed in the pile (in Punto Banco there are usually six decks) of a player at the table.
When you play online, however, Punto Banco and Baccarat are the same, it has become a bit of a synonym for baccarat.
You experience the differences between the variants mainly if you play at a land -based casino.
3. Baccharat Banque
In the variant called "Baccarat Banque", one of the players gets the role of banker, which the player has for all the cards in the game is handed out.
The role is usually auctioned off, to the player who places the highest effort. At the table itself, the banker sits facing the dealer while the players sit on both sides of the bank.
In Baccarat Banque, the shoe (box with deck) contains a total of three decks. And the banker can only bet on his own hand and the players on the players' hands.

4. No Commission Baccarat

8. Baccarat Squeeze
Baccarat squeeze is played in the same way as classic baccarat, but with a small twist.
The difference lies in the cards that are handed out, in this variant they are laid down.

9. Dragon Tiger
